About the ensemble

Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.

Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.                                     Psalm 96

Dei Gratia is a collective of both emerging and experienced professional musicians who specialise in Baroque (18th-century) music on period instruments. Much well-known Baroque music, particularly choral music (for example Handel's Messiah or Bach's St. John and St. Matthew Passions), presents Bible texts, and was originally composed for performance in the context of Christian worship.  The members of Dei Grati are all active Christians with a heart for using their musical gifts to serve churches and communities, and to encourage performers and audiences alike to think again about the glorious inspiration of these masterpieces.
